Basalt, due to its hardness and resistance to all types of climate, is widely used as an ornamental rock, for cladding and pavements.

Generally of dark-grey to black shading, but also of brown/”rusty-red” colour due to the oxidation of its minerals.

For this project of exterior swimming pool areas, we chose Portuguese Basalt for pavement, stairs, pool copings and barbecue in sawn and sandblasted finish.
